Education

At Pinnacle Financial Concepts, Inc., we strongly believe in education - for our clients and ourselves. Very few people hire a financial advisor with the intent of learning everything the advisor knows. Everyone, however, should have a comfort level with the elements of their own finances. We strive to increase our clients' comfort level by increasing their understanding and knowledge of the financial issues confronting them. A significant part of our job is sharing information and providing education.

The foundation of our approach is to build a financial strategy for clients that helps them achieve their goals while increasing the client's comfort with the specifics of their situation. To achieve this each client is actively involved in clarifying information about their finances. Additionally, we don't make decisions for our clients; they make their own decisions with the information and recommendations we provide. We augment the individual appointments with seminars, tapes, articles, and correspondence that enhance the clients' financial education.

Our credentials and our commitment to continued education evidence our commitment to our own education. Linda Yows Leitz and Jane M. Young, the co-owners and planners of Pinnacle Financial Concepts, Inc., each have undergraduate and masters degrees in business. They are both Certified Financial Planners, which requires demonstration of intellectual knowledge and practical experience in the areas of retirement planning, insurance, estate planning, investment planning, income tax, and general financial planning. Linda and Jane are both members of professional organizations that require high ethical standards as well as a minimum of 60 hours of continuing education every two years across these disciplines. Each planner generally exceeds the required continuing education credits.
